Audrey Tooze – Principal
A Chartered Accountant, Audrey has an Honours Bachelor of Accounting Science Degree. Audrey is the Principal of AWT Accountants, which commenced in July 2010. Audrey has worked as an accountant since 1982 and commenced her accounting career with Deloitte. Between July 2006 and June 2010, Audrey was a partner in a Joondalup accounting firm. In July 2010, she started her own Chartered Accountant Public Practice Firm to offer clients a personalised friendly service whilst still maintaining timely and accurate information.
Paul Turner – Business Services Manager
Paul is a Certified Practicing Accountant who commenced his accounting studies in the mid-60s with C P Bird and Associates, where he remained for three years. Paul then worked as a commercial accountant until 1978. In 1978 he started a partnership with R N Gillard which later grew to a company Gillard Turner and O’Brien Pty Ltd. This company grew to employ 23 accountants with five partners. In 1998 he left the company and worked as a sole practitioner for 20 years until joining AWT Accountants in July 2018. As previously operating as a sole practitioner Paul brings a wealth of experience covering everything from individual tax return preparation to self-managed super funds compliance.
Dena Lewendon – Business Services Manager
Dena is a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree. Dena commenced working as an Accountant in 1985, qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Anderson and has worked in many roles in Commerce and Public Practice both in Australia and the UK.
Hayley Davies – Self-Managed Super Fund (SMSF) Manager
A Chartered Accountant, Hayley has an Honours Bachelor of Accounting Science Degree. Hayley has worked as an accountant since 1993 and commenced her accounting career with Ernst and Young. Hayley became involved in the preparation and audit of Self-Managed Superannuation Funds in 2005 and her knowledge is extensive in this unique area of accounting. In July 2010, she became a member of the SMSF Association of Australia and a few months later qualified as a SMSF Specialist Advisor. SMSF Associations is the leading association within the SMSF industry in Australia. Hayley is responsible for all the AWT Accountants Self-Managed Superannuation Funds.
Tamsin Young – Senior Tax Accountant
Tamsin is a Certified Practicing Accountant with a Bachelor of Accounting Science Degree. Tamsin has been an accountant since 1985, commencing her accounting career with KPMG and has held senior accounting positions with Price Waterhouse and Ernst & Young specialising in small business. Tamsin operated her own practice for five years and her expertise is in consulting to small businesses in areas of taxation, management advice and accounting services.
Letitia Joubert – Senior Tax Accountant
Letitia has a bachelor’s degree in accounting, honours degree in financial management and a CIMA (Chartered Institute for Management Accountants) qualification. She has been a public practice accountant in Australia since 2005 and specialises in tax compliance for small to medium business and property investors. Letitia will be assisting AWT Accountant’s clients with Xero conversion, training and ongoing support.
Vikki Goodrum – Tax Accountant
Vikki has a Bachelor of Business qualification majoring in Accounting and Business Law and has worked in Public Practice since 2009. Vikki specialises in the preparation of Individual, Sole Traders, Partnerships, Trusts and Company Tax Returns, BAS and IAS Preparation and assisting clients with their Xero and MYOB processing and reconciliations.
Debbie Bingham – Self-Managed Super Fund (SMSF) & ASIC Administrator
Debbie has been involved in office administration since 1987. She has worked in Public Practice for the majority of these years in the field of corporate and superannuation fund administration and has gained an extensive knowledge in these areas.
Rebecca Lowe – Junior Accountant & Tax Support Assistant
Rebecca is currently in her third year of a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Accounting. She assists with individual tax returns and prepares schedules & spreadsheets for the Senior Accountants. When required, Rebecca also assists with Tax Support tasks and liaises with clients ensuring that Senior Accountants have the necessary information to complete their work.
Janice Jahn – Tax Support Manager & Receptionist Assistant
Janice has extensive administration experience and assists with ensuring the clients completed tax returns and financial statements are efficiently directed from the accountants to the clients. Janice also assists the clients with ATO queries.
Trish Webster – Receptionist & Tax Support Assistant
Trish is the person who welcomes you in the office and greets you on the phone. She has extensive administration experience and is more than happy to help you with any query you may have, direct you to the right person or make appointments for you.
Daniel Johnston – Marketing Officer
Daniel received his Bachelor of Business qualification in 2019 from Edith Cowan University, where he majored in Marketing and International Business. Daniel currently works in our marketing department, and is responsible for the majority of marketing-related matters, including; producing social media content, and client engagement. Daniel also assists our Tax Support team, setting up client information in our systems, ensuring a smooth process for the accountants when commencing their work.
Karen Herbert – Administration
Karen has many years’ experience in administration in different business sectors and assists AWT Accountants with ensuring the office runs smoothly.
